ORLEN OIL has become a Titular Sponsor of the 81st Rally Poland. This year's edition, scheduled for the weekend of 13-15 June, will be the fourth round of the European Rally Championship (FIA ERC) and the third round of the Polish championship (RSMP). For the twentieth time, the rally will be based in the picturesque and hospitable Mikolajki, and the competition will take place on spectacular gravel special stages among the Masurian lakes.
This year's event will be another one organised with the support of the ORLEN Group. In 2006 and 2007, it was held as the Platinum Rally Poland and the next two – in 2008 and 2009 – as the ORLEN Platinum Rally Poland. Like the ORLEN 74th Rally Poland in the 2017 season, the latter rally was a World Rally Championship (WRC) round. From 2021 to 2024, the high-speed gravel battle was held under the name ORLEN Rally Poland, which was part of the FIA ERC in the 2021-2023 seasons, while the 80th-anniversary edition (2024) was celebrated together with WRC teams and crews as a round of this most prestigious series in the world.
Michał Sikora, President of the Polish Automobile and Motorcycle Federation, the organiser of ORLEN OIL 81st Rally Poland: I am very pleased that after many years ORLEN OIL is back with Rally Poland as event’s title partner. ORLEN OIL is a leading manufacturer of engine oils and a brand valued not only by Polish drivers. Rallying, where high-performance engines run at top speed as crews fight for fractions of a second, are a natural environment and a great way of promoting technologically advanced lubricants. For hundreds of thousands of drivers, ORLEN OIL products are a reliable and dependable choice. For the Rally Poland this brand is a proven partner that allows us to host exciting sports events at the highest level in our country.
Arkadiusz Trela, President of the Management Board of ORLEN OIL: Motorsport plays a key role in our company's activities, so our cooperation with the Polish Automobile and Motorcycle Federation during the ORLEN OIL 81st Rally Poland is a natural direction in our strategy. As the leader in lubricants in Poland, we support the organisation of this unique rally in the history of the European Championship. It is a great event for motoring enthusiasts, which provides fans with unforgettable emotions and gives them the opportunity to see the best rally crews in action. We have established a partnership because we know how crucial advanced technologies and operational reliability are in motorsport, which is also important in the development of our products. Professional motoring is a space where experience and uncompromising quality count – essential elements accompanying every driver.
In 2025, Rally Poland will be a part of the European Championship calendar for the 54th time. No other event has such a long history in the world's oldest rally series, the European Championship, held since 1953. The most important competition in Polish motorsport is also the second-oldest rally in the world. Only the Monte Carlo Rally, which traditionally opens the world championship seasons, has a longer history in its annals.
Crews competing in the ORLEN OIL 81st Rally Poland will tackle 14 special stages, with a total length of nearly 200 km. Among them, there will be a spectacular head-to-head battle on the Mikołajki Arena track. The service park will be located next to the Gołębiewski Hotel, which - as in previous years - will also house the rally HQ.
ORLEN OIL The 81st Rally Poland is one of the three gravel rounds of the 2025 FIA ERC season, while the other five run on tarmac. The 73rd season of the European Championship will start on the first weekend of April in Spain, with the 42nd Rally Sierra Morena (Cordoba, asphalt), which is making its debut on the calendar. Afterwards, the drivers will face the 6th Rally Hungary (9-11 May, Veszprem, gravel) and the 3rd Royal Rally of Scandinavia (30 May – 1 June, Karlstad, Sweden, gravel). Having competed in ORLEN OIL Rally Poland, FIA ERC crews will switch to tarmac mode, beginning with the 13th Rally di Roma Capitale (4-6 July, Fiuggi, Italy), followed by the 54th Barum Czech Rally Zlin (15-17 August, Zlin, Czech Republic), 5th Rally Ceredigion (5-7 September, Aberystwyth, Great Britain) and the final round – Rally Croatia (3-5 October, Jablanovec).
