Krzysztof Hołowczyc placed fifth in the Dakar Rally!

dakar_podsum.jpgThe driver of the ORLEN Team, Krzysztof Hołowczyc placed fifth in the Dakar Rally! Never before has a Polish driver been classified this high in the world’s most difficult rally. Jakub Przygoński also performed well in the Dakar Rally, placing eleventh amongst the motorcyclists and winning the debut drivers division. Jacek Czachor, despite a four hour penalty made i into the first twenty.

Giniel de Villiers, a driver from the Republic of South Africa won the car division. Volkswagen hit a doublet thanks to Markowi Millerowi, who lost to his colleague by nearly nine minutes. It is the first Dakar triumph achieved in a diesel powered car. Amongst the motorcyclists Spaniard Marc Coma took the lead already in the first stage, getting almost half an hour ahead of his KTM colleague, Cyril Despres.

Jakub Przygoński got very close to the first ten. The motorcyclist of the ORLEN Team made a goud impression with his Fast and steady riding. The ORLEN Team’s good achievements are a result of an exchange of knowledge among the contestants as well as the flawless cooperation of the entire team.
