leksykon-okładka.jpgAt the beginning of this year, the Lexicon of Petroleum Products and Operating Fluids, edited by Prof. Wiesław Górski, appeared on the market. Among its authors are Katarzyna Starzec, MSc Eng. and Marcin Osika, MSc Eng. from the Research and Development Department of ORLEN Oil.

“The publishing of the Lexicon of Petroleum Products and Operating Fluids is undoubtedly a significant event on the market of technical publications involving petroleum products and their properties. I’m glad that I could be a co-creator of this project,” comments Katarzyna Starzec, a specialist in the Department of Research and Development.

“The Lexicon, containing over 4000 entries and definitions of petroleum concepts, in a convincing manner gives an insight – even for those who are not exactly specialists in the matter – into such subjects as: the characteristics of petroleum and its products, technologies of petroleum processing, procedures regarding storage of oil and petroleum products, laboratory research, devices used in petroleum processing, and even refinery servicing,” as summed up by Marcin Osika, Director of the Research and Development Department at ORLEN Oil.

The Lexicon of Petroleum Products and Operating Fluids was funded by the ORLEN Oil Sp. Ltd. company, which is evidence of the company’s engagement in scientific projects involving the oil industry.
